Naina Gupta, M.D. joined SureVision Eye Centers in August 2016. Dr. Gupta was named a Benjamin Franklin Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania during her undergraduate training. She received her medical doctorate at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where she graduated with honors in research. She completed her ophthalmology training at the prestigious Havener Eye Institute of The Ohio State University, where she received first place accolades in 2015 and 2016 for her research in foveal sensitivity as a possible predictor of the best corrected visual acuity after cataract surgery. Dr. Gupta participated in an outreach program in 2016, in Jamaica, that provided cataract surgery to underserved Jamaicans. She hopes to continue to participate in similar outreach programs throughout her career, as she now comes to make her home in St. Louis with her husband who is a radiologist.
