Updated 10/12/2021
With the current COVID-19 situation and the recent actions by the State of Illinois as well as the City and County of St. Louis, we wanted to let you know how we are changing to adapt and be available to patients who need us.
COVID-19 Policies:
- Patient appointments are required
- Patients and visitors must wear masks
- Staff is required to wear masks
- Staff is required to disinfect surfaces between visits
Both of our clinic locations are open by appointment only. We are also scheduling surgeries as needed. However, patients are being cared for following the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) guidelines.
If you have an appointment with our office, you will be contacted as to the date, time and location for your appointment. At that time, you will be given specific directions. All patients are required to wear masks the entire time they are in the office and to social distance while in our office. Of course, our doctors and staff will be masked as well. Where possible, we have placed breath shields on pieces of equipment that require the patient and doctor to be in close proximity to one another.
We are screening all patients by phone prior to their appointment. We are also asking the same screening questions when a patient arrives for their appointment. All patients and caregivers will be screened and will be asked to wait in our waiting room or in their vehicle until they are notified our technician is ready to work them up for the doctor. Only patients will be allowed in our office unless they are dependent on their caregiver for communication or physical support. We simply do not have the space in any of our offices for all patients to bring someone and still maintain the required social distancing. All tech and exam rooms are being sanitized between each patient and our waiting areas are being cleaned multiple times per day. The time you spend in the office will be made as short as possible.
If you are need of contact lenses before we can see you for your annual appointment, please call us and we will assist you. If you have glasses or contact lenses on order, you will be notified when they arrive and arrangements will be made for you to pick them up or for them to be mailed to you.
We will continue to monitor this information and adjust as needed. Please know we are here to help you and that we intend to do so in a way that protects you, our other patients, our staff and our doctors.
You may contact us at any time via our website, by e-mailing info@surevision.us, by our patient portal at www.nextmd.com or by calling any of our locations. We continue to have our after hours on-call service active should you experience an emergency after our usual office hours. Thank you.
