Dr. Matt McCoy completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis before continuing on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from the UMSL College of Optometry. He also trained at the University of Kentucky Department of Ophthalmology, gaining experience in specialty contact lenses. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Contact Lens Faculty Clinical Excellence Award for contact lens patient care, and the Excellence in Clinical Skills Award for excellence in clinical care. He is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, American Optometric Association, Missouri Optometric Association, and the St. Louis Optometric Society. Dr. McCoy serves as a specialty contact lens optometrist at SureVision, fitting patients in scleral lenses to manage conditions such as keratoconus, corneal transplants, and other corneal irregularities that cannot be corrected with traditional glasses and contact lenses.
